Are you an experienced HVAC installer who knows how to get the job done right and can lead others along the way?

Brandt Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for a Licensed HVAC Installer to join our Iowa City team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced installation technician who can install heating and cooling systems, troubleshoot issues, supervise other installers, and provide a professional experience for our customers.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with an hour lunch and overtime as needed.

What You'll Be Responsible For

This position involves installing heating and air conditioning systems while providing leadership and supervision to other installers.

You'll use your technical experience to:

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Supervise and mentor other installers
• Troubleshoot installation and system issues
• Work with ductwork, low-voltage systems, refrigerant, gas and electric furnaces, and heat pumps
• Test and balance HVAC systems
• Maintain a professional relationship with customers
• Help keep installation projects organized, efficient, and on schedule

Are You a Good Fit?

The right person for this role is someone who is dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable taking the lead.

You should have:

• NATE certification for all installer certifications
• Knowledge of ductwork systems, low-voltage systems, refrigerant, gas and electric furnaces, and heat pumps
• Experience installing and troubleshooting residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Ability to test and balance systems
• Leadership ability and experience supervising or mentoring other installers
• Your own HVAC tools
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., work in tight spaces, and use a ladder
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organization and time management
• A location in or near Iowa City

A Schedule You Can Count On

This is a full-time Monday–Friday position, typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with an hour lunch and overtime as needed.
